Harrisburg wins again to improve to 21-4

Double-A Harrisburg added to their record-setting start to the season with a 3-1 victory over Reading, thanks to seven strong innings from right-hander Sterling Sharp.

Sharp-Throws-PNats-Red-Sidebar.jpgSharp allowed one run on four hits and recorded one walk and six strikeouts. He threw 94 pitches, 64 for strikes, and at one point he retired 11 straight batters.

Rhett Wiseman homered for the first time since April 15. His bat has been electric to start the season, to the tune of a 1.121 OPS and a .321 average. He has seven doubles, nine homers and 22 RBIs in 23 games.

Luis Sardiñas had an RBI double and Luis Garcia's walk with the bases loaded scored another run.

Right-hander Jacob Condra-Bogan pitched two shutout innings, allowing one hit and striking out one for his first save of the season.

The Senators are now a club record 21-4, and they have won 29 of their last 34 games dating back to the end of last season. The Sens have won all eight series so far this season. The pitching has been stellar, allowing three runs or fewer in 15 of their 25 games and leading the Eastern League with a stunning 2.66 team ERA. Their 224 strikeouts are second only to Hartford's 239.

Drew Ward is hitting .293 and Ian Sagdal has seven doubles, two triples, three homers and 10 RBIs.

Wil Crowe is 3-0 with a 0.96 ERA. Erick Fedde is 2-0 with a 2.66 ERA. Ben Braymer is 1-1 with a 3.68 ERA. Aaron Barrett and James Bourque each have five saves.
