Debbi Taylor interviews COO Andrew Feffer about the new concessions at Nationals Park
Four establishments - Blue Smoke, Shake Shack, El Verano Taqueria and Box Frites - will be unveiled Tuesday, with a chance for fans to grab some tasty eats as they watch the game. Between the new eateries, fans will be able to introduce their palates to a variety of tastes. At Blue Smoke, those with a big appetite can get their hands on some pit barbecue. Next, they can grab some Belgian-style fries and dipping sauces at Box Frites, or slip over to El Verano Taqueria for authentic Mexican food. If you're into the more familiar ballpark eats, Shake Shack will sell hot dogs, ShackBurgers and cool, frozen custard. Of course, you can't have all of this mouthwatering food without an ice cold beer to wash it down, right? In addition to the new food stands, the Nationals have announced that for the remainder of the season, all home games will have $5 happy hour beer specials 2 1/2 hours prior to the scheduled first pitch at the Miller Lite Scoreboard Walk Bar. It's all in an effort to show off the Miller Lite Scoreboard Walk, a unique atmosphere out in center field at Nationals Park. There, fans can enjoy the game from a unique, high-up view, now while enjoying some of the most original food choices in baseball. Be sure to check out the array of new menu options, opening at Nationals Park on Tuesday.
