Nationals game blog: Gonzalez seeks his fifth straight win as Nats face D-backs

The Nationals look for two wins in a row as left-hander Gio Gonzalez (8-4, 3.75 ERA) takes on Arizona right-hander Rubby De La Rosa (8-5, 4.59).

Danny Espinosa gets the call to start at shortstop as Ian Desmond will get the day off. Jose Lobaton will catch for Gonzalez as he has all season.

Gonzalez is 2-0 with a 2.84 ERA in four career starts against the Diamondbacks. Overall, Gonzalez is 46-26 with a 3.16 ERA in 96 starts (97 games) at home. This is his fourth start at home against Arizona.

Nationals outfielder Michael A. Taylor is second in Major League Baseball with a .403 average with runners in scoring position.
