It was Juan Samuel's final game as interim manager and he finished with a record of 17 and 34 since he took over on June 4th. Kevin Millwood fell to 2-11, 6.05 as he gave up five runs and 11 hits over 5 2/3. Millwood has given up 5 ER or more in five straight starts. He allowed three runs in the first inning and has now given up at least two runs in the opening inning of 11 of his last 12 starts.
