PREGAME CEREMONY: 2022 Roberto Clemente Award Nominee, Dillon Tate
The Orioles will honor TATE, their 2022 Roberto Clemente Award Nominee, in a
special pregame ceremony. The prestigious Roberto Clemente Award presented by
Capital One is presented annually to the player who best represents the game of
baseball through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy,
and positive contributions – both on and off the field. Earlier this year, Tate
launched his foundation, Baseball Academia, where he aims to teach children and
young athletes lessons on personal development and how to improve their skills
on and off the field. Through his foundation, he has hosted nearly 150 athletes at
the ballpark throughout the 2022 season. As part of the donation, MLB made a
$7,500 donation to Baseball Acdemia, which the Orioles Charitable Foundation matched for a total of $15,000. From now until the conclusion of the regular season on Wednesday, October 5, fans can vote for the overall winner of the Roberto Clemente Award, presented by Capital One at MLB.com/ Clemente21.

LOU GEHRIG SUMMER SLUGGER CHALLENGE WINNER: Emily Short
SHORT, an eighth grader at Dover Area Middle School in Pa., will be honored at the game as the winner of the Lou Gehrig Summer Slugger Challenge, held earlier this year. As part of the Lou Gehrig Summer Slugger Challenge, students were tasked with writing an essay on why they consider themselves to be the luckiest person alive.

BRASWELL will perform her rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game.

PENNINGTON FIELD DESIGN CONTEST

An image of the Angry Orioles Bird with a Home Run Chain will be airprinted into the outfield grass. The design was voted on by fans in a Twitter poll, presented by Pennington.

SEPT 20 vs. DET 7:05 P.M.

FIRST PITCH: Jayne Miller
A reporter with WBAL for more than 35 years, MILLER will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. Miller retired this year after more than 46 years in the industry.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Tom Zepp
ZEPP will perform his rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game.

SEPT 21 vs. DET 7:05 P.M.

BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK PACKING EVENT

The Orioles will partner with Blessings in a Backpack to pack 750 backpacks for food insecure children in the Baltimore community. Orioles players, along with Manager Brandon Hyde, and the coaching staff will participate in the event, which is funded by the Orioles Charitable Foundation.

PREGAME CEREMONY: Austin Hays Scholarship Winner - Fatima Koroma
The Orioles will honor KOROMA in a special pregame ceremony. A Glenn Dale, Md., native, Koroma is currently a doctoral student at George Washington University. Earlier this year, HAYS partnered with the Orioles and Bold.org to create a $20,000 scholarship for Maryland students in need of financial support to pursue higher education. Hays personally funded $10,000, with the Orioles Charitable Foundation matching his donation.

HEROES CORNER: Volun-Teen
VOLUN-TEEN is committed to creating opportunities for teenagers to give back to the community, whether it is to fulfill a community service requirement, support a cause, or gain invaluable experience. Established in 2021, Heroes Corner serves as a way for the Orioles to give back to the community and show their appreciation to our front-line workers by donating tickets to local organizations.

The SALVATION ARMY OF CENTRAL MARYLAND is committed to serving the community by focusing on offering social services, creating safe havens for human trafficking survivors, supporting youth development, and offering feeding programs. Established in 2021, Heroes Corner serves as a way for the Orioles to give back to the community and show their appreciation to our front-line workers by donating tickets to local organizations.

FAN APPRECIATION WEEKEND

As a thank you to our fans who have been fired up all season long, the Orioles will hold Fan Appreciation Weekend from September 23-25 as Baltimore takes on the Houston Astros. As part of Fan Appreciation Weekend, the Orioles will surprise the most spirited fans at the games with Orioles themed gifts, including autographed items, fans will have the opportunity to tweet their seats to win special prizes delivered by The Bird, and gates will open 90 minutes early all weekend long. HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH SCHOOL VISIT

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Orioles players will visit a local elementary school to speak with students.

DJ MAYBACH will perform for fans from the Roof Deck prior to the game.

FIRST PITCH: Merrill Heim
HEIM, also known as "Fired Up Guy," will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. He is credited as the fan behind the Orioles' infamous "Home Run Chain" celebration. Whenever a member of the team hits a home run, they are given the "Home Run Chain" to wear until the next player hits one.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Vince Sandroni
SANDRONI will perform his rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. He will also perform "This Land Is Your Land" from on top of the Orioles dugout during the seventh inning.

ALUMNI AUTOGRAPHS: Dave Ford, Glenn Gulliver, Scott McGregor
FORD, GULLIVER, and McGREGOR will be on Eutaw Street near the New Era cap store from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. to sign autographs for fans, free of charge.

BALTIMORE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOOD & NUTRITION SERVICES provides nutritious and appetizing meals in a supportive and attractive atmosphere for the students at Baltimore County Public Schools. THANKS, BROOKS DAY
In celebration of the 45th anniversary of BROOKS ROBINSON'S retirement in 1977, the Orioles will once again pay tribute to "Mr. Oriole." Prior to the game, Robinson will welcome fans as he is driven around the warning track, a nod to the original "Thanks, Brooks Day." Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:30 p.m. for the ceremony.

GIVEAWAY: Poster print of Norman Rockwell’s ‘Gee, Thanks Brooks’ Painting

The first 15,000 fans ages 15 and over will receive a poster print of Norman Rockwell’s ‘Gee, Thanks Brooks’ painting. Throughout the game, randomly selected fans will have the chance to win copies of the poster autographed by Robinson himself.

PREGAME CONCERT: Crushing Day
One of Baltimore's most popular bands, CRUSHING DAY will perform a pregame concert at Statue Park prior to the game.

National Anthem: MAXX Factor Quartet
MAXX FACTOR QUARTET will perform their rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. They will also perform "America The Beautiful" from on top of the Orioles dugout during the seventh inning.

HEROES CORNER: Baltimore Hunger Project
The BALTIMORE HUNGER PROJECT is dedicated to eliminating the growing problem of weekend childhood hunger by consistently providing weekend food packages to children identified as food insecure, in a compassionate and dignified manner. Established in 2021, Heroes Corner serves as a way for the Orioles to give back to the community and show their appreciation to our front-line workers by donating tickets to local organizations.

FAN APPRECIATION

As part of Fan Appreciation Weekend, Orioles players will trade places with Orioles staff members prior to the game.

SIMPLI RHYTHMIC will perform a pregame acoustic set on the Roof Deck prior to the game.

BIRDLAND MEMBER END-OF-SEASON BULLPEN PARTY

Prior to the game select Birdland Members will have the opportunity to attend a pregame appreciation picnic in the Bullpen Picnic Area. The picnic will take place one hour before first pitch and will include complimentary food and drink.

MILITARY MEET AND GREET: Catch A Lift
The Orioles will host military families from CATCH A LIFT, providing them with complimentary game tickets, military themed O's caps, and a catered suite. Prior to the game, the guests will have the opportunity to take photos on the field and meet an Orioles player. Catch A Lift enables post-9/11 combat injured veterans all over the U.S. to recover and rehabilitate both physically and mentally through physical fitness, motivation, and support.

The LUSTRE QUARTET will perform their rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. They will also perform "God Bless America" from on top of the Orioles dugout during the seventh inning.

The President of DAP, HEIRD will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game.

KIDS RUN THE BASES, PRESENTED BY WEIS MARKETS

All fans ages four to 14 will have the opportunity to run the bases following the game.
