Twins win in last of 9th, 7-6

Delmon Young's fourth hit of the night, a two-out, RBI single in the last of the ninth, gave the Twins a 7-6, walk off win over the Orioles Tuesday night. The Twins have taken the first two games of this series. Kam Mickolio got the first two batters out in the 9th. But then Micheal Cuddyer singled and pinch hitter Jason Kubel drew a walk. Young then lined a single to right to end the game.

O's starter Brian Matusz struggled during most of his outing and did not get a decision despite leaving with a 6-3 lead. Over five innings he gave up seven hits and three runs, throwing 99 pitches. Brian Bass allowed all five batters he faced in the 6th to reach base and three scored to tie the game, 6-6. The O's led 6-3 after five and a half innings as Micheal Aubrey had 3 RBI with a two-run double and bases-loaded walk. Luke Scott and Cesar Izturis added RBI singles. Twins starter Armando Gabino, making his Major League debut, lasted just 2 2/3 innings and gave up five hits and four runs. The O's fall to 3-5 on this road trip and 21-44 on the road on the year.
