The Orioles and Rays are one game behind the Yankees in the American League East as their series continues today at Camden Yards.
The Orioles have one fewer win and loss than the Rays.
David Lough is starting in center field today, with Adam Jones listed among the reserves. We'll find out later why Jones isn't starting.
Travis Snider stays in the lineup in left field and he continues to bat second. Steve Clevenger is behind the plate.

Stephen Strasburg threw only 16 pitches in last night's 5-2 loss to the Reds before leaving the game with neck tightness. Nationals manager Matt Williams indicated to reporters that the discomfort was in Strasburg's left trapezius muscle. Strasburg isn't familiar with this type of pain in this particular area.
"We don't know at this point," Williams told reporters after the game. "We have to see how he is (Saturday) and evaluate. I don't know. It's the other side, so we'll see what he...
Anthony Rendon (oblique) played seven innings at second base in Double-A Harrisburg's 3-2 win at Bowie Friday night. He notched a single in four at-bats.
Colin Bates pitched six innings, scattering eight hits and allowing two runs. Brian Goodwin smacked a home run, Pedro Severino contributed a RBI single and Tony Renda was hit by pitch with the bases loaded to give the Senators the lead.
Next up for Rendon could be back-to-back rehab games to test his core again and see if he is ready to join...
Darren O'Day said sometimes you do go for a strikeout. Take the top of the ninth inning last night: the game was tied 1-1 with Tampa Bay, and O'Day gave up two singles and hit a batter to load the bases with no outs.
Then Steven Souza Jr. came up. He had homered earlier in the game.
"Yeah, a sac fly can score a run there," O'Day said. "You have to be able to strike a guy out once in a while when you are in the bullpen. So yeah, either strikeout, double play or pop up would have been good...
The Nationals have lost only seven games the entire month of May. Stephen Strasburg has started four of them. The right-hander lasted just five batters tonight before exiting with an injury in a 5-2 loss to the Reds.
"He came out of the game with left trap tightness ... trapezius muscle, neck tightness," Nationals manager Matt Williams told reporters after the game. Strasburg quickly got ahead of Reds catcher Brayan Pena 0-2 to start the second inning before delivering four consecutive balls...
Left-hander Wei-Yin Chen, questionable earlier this week to make his next start, will be on the mound today against the Rays.
Chen made it through Thursday's side session, watched closely by pitching coach Dave Wallace and bullpen coach Dom Chiti. I heard earlier this week that Chen complained of some soreness in his side. As manager Buck Showalter stressed, it had nothing to do with his arm or shoulder.
Chen went on the disabled list in May 2013 with a strained right oblique. The Orioles were...
The Orioles were 0-16 this year when scoring two runs or less until tonight's 2-1, walk-off win over the Tampa Bay Rays.
J.J. Hardy began the night batting .194, but he ended it getting mobbed by his teammates after his single provided the winning run and broke a 1-1 tie in the last of the ninth. He hit a 1-0 pitch from Steve Geltz into left, pinch-runner Everth Cabrera scored and the celebration was on for 45,505 at the Yard.
"Just see the ball and put a good swing on it," Hardy said....
Manager Buck Showalter said the Orioles won't need to make a roster move for a fresh bullpen arm Saturday after Miguel Gonzalez worked eight innings in a 2-1 victory over the Rays.
Darren O'Day was the only reliever used, and he escaped a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the top of the ninth.
It still may be a few more days before the bullpen can be viewed as properly rested, but the Orioles made it through tonight.
Gonzalez allowed one run and three hits in eight innings, but he didn't get the...
After a strong starting pitching performance and amazing escape act in the top of the ninth, the Orioles' offense did its part in the bottom of the ninth.
J.J. Hardy's two-out RBI single gave the Orioles a 2-1 win walkoff win over the Tampa Bay Rays in front of a loud sellout crowd of 45,505.
This was Buck Showalter's 400th win as O's manager and the Orioles' second walkoff win of the year. The first was April 25 versus Boston.
Travis Snider led off the winning rally with an infield single...
Stephen Strasburg faced just five batters before leaving tonight's game with an undiclosed injury. With one out in the first, Reds first baseman Joey Votto belted a 97 mph fastball from Strasburg deep over the centerfield fence for a solo homer. Third baseman Todd Frazier followed with a single to left before Ryan Zimmerman ended the inning with an unassisted double play on a grounder from right fielder Jay Bruce.
Strasburg immediately got ahead of catcher Brayan Pena 0-2 to start the second...
