Although it wasn't scheduled at the start of the season, the Orioles and White Sox played a traditional doubleheader at Camden Yards on Thursday, a throwback to the 1960s when scheduled doubleheaders were the norm.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter was impressed with Tyler Wilson, who made his first major league start today in Game 1 of a doubleheader against the White Sox. Showalter won't need to make a roster move prior to Game 2 because the right-hander lasted six innings.
"Good, good," Showalter said following a 3-2 loss. "Another young guy who presented himself real well. Gave us a chance to win. Just matched up against one of the best pitchers in baseball.
