Adam Jones said the soreness in his chest is not yet fully gone and he is not in tonight's starting lineup against the Yankees.
"It's not feeling comfortable right now. It's feeling better than it did, but I'd say in another day, hopefully I'll feel better," he said.
Jones was out of the lineup for Thursday's win in Minnesota and did not take part in any pregame work, either.
"Nothing. I just watched a good game. Today, hopefully, I'll watch another good game," Jones said.

Center fielder Adam Jones is still experiencing discomfort in his chest when he swings a bat. He's feeling better after taking yesterday off, but manager Buck Showalter wants to give him an extra day of rest.
A postponement tomorrow would give him more time to heal.
First baseman Chris Davis, rehabbing his sore shoulder in Sarasota, was pain-free today while performing stretching exercises. He still hasn't done any baseball-related activities.
Second baseman Brian Roberts participated in...
Adam Jones is out of the lineup for the second consecutive game, and he hasn't played a full nine innings in the last four, because of soreness in his chest.
Manager Buck Showalter will let us know more around 4 p.m. when he meets with the media.

Before Thursday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, manager Davey Johnson said he felt good about the team and where they were despite being shut down two games in a row.
But following an 8-1 loss in the series finale, the Nationals look back on three games where the offense could not put three hits together. Washington slapped four doubles in Thursday's game, but never could get back-to-back hits. Michael Morse had the lone RBI single in the seventh.
"It is disappointing," Johnson...
I hope some of the readers here have had a chance to listen to my radio show this year. I've been hosting the Baltimore Baseball Tonight Postgame show on 105.7 FM The Fan in Baltimore each weeknight this season talking about the Orioles and taking listeners' phone calls.

The Orioles have announced their plans to honor former pitcher, coach, executive and MASN broadcaster Mike Flanagan, who died Wednesday at age 59.

Also, a black banner with the No. "46" in orange will hang above the press box and below the television booth where Flanagan worked as...
One of the things I like about baseball is the opportunity to watch people who are living their dream. It makes me happy, and on some days it also reminds me to count my blessings and focus what I might achieve in my own life.
Of course, there's more than one professional baseball dream, from being drafted, to stepping on the field for a major league debut, to winning the World Series and everything in-between. I'm sure a lot of major league players pinch themselves every day and say,...
A few notes and opinions as the Orioles get set to host the Yankees in what figures to be an emotion-filled weekend, where the weatherman will be the most closely monitored person in town.
*Did the Yankees tire themselves out yesterday?
As the clubs get set to begin a five-game series tonight, New York comes to town off yesterday's 22-9 win over Oakland where the Yankees became the first team in major league history to hit three grand slams in one game as Robinson Cano, Curtis Granderson and...
