Another homestand means more offers for fans

It's hard to believe it's already mid-August, but here we are, with the Nationals set to begin another lengthy homestand. This 10-game stand will welcome the Reds, Phillies and Diamondbacks to our nation's capital and, as usual, there are plenty of offers and events for fans to enjoy at the ballpark. On Tuesday, as the Nationals open a three-game series with Cincinnati, the Nats will honor local military veterans as part of the "Give a Veteran a Piece of the High Life" program. The event, co-sponsored by the Nationals, Miller High Life and the Afghanistan Veterans of American (IAVA) will be held at the 1st Street Party Tent from 5:30 to 7 p.m., followed by the 7:05 game at Nationals Park. During the game, select veterans will participate in various activities such as the first pitch and lineup card delivery. It's also another two-dollar ticket night, so lift those couch cushions and scrap up a couple of bucks to enjoy some baseball. Ladies, Thursday night's series finale with the Reds brings another Ladies Night, where fans can purchase VIP Ladies Night ticket packages for $40, which include group seating and access to the happy hour inside the 1st Street Party Tent from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tickets for that can be purchased here. The weekend series with Philadelphia will include several special deals, beginning with Friday night's game when Spider Man and X-Men creator Stan Lee will be on hand to throw out the first pitch. The series will wrap up with back-to-back giveaways, when the first 15,000 fans will receive an Ian Desmond bobblehead on Saturday, and the first 10,000 kids 12 and under will receive a kids duffle bag for Sunday's game. Fans, as hard as it is to believe, this is the second-to-last homestand for the Nationals this season, so get out the ballpark and take advantage of these special offers while there's still time.
