Escobar, Ramos look to stay hot in series finale (with lineups)

The Nationals continue to be careful with center fielder Denard Span, who is coming off two offseason abdominal surgeries. Span receives a day off this afternoon and third baseman Yunel Escobar slides into the leadoff spot, while rookie Michael A. Taylor will play center.

Meanwhile, Ramos brings a 12-game hitting streak into today's game. The six-year veteran is batting .413 (19-for-46) over the streak, the second longest of his career.

The Nats tagged today's Braves starter Alex Wood for five runs on six hits over five innings in a big 13-4 victory in Atlanta on April 29.
