Gio Gonzalez looks to continue Nats' winning streak (with lineups)

The Nationals send Gio Gonzalez to the mound tonight aiming for their fourth win a row. After struggling for three straight starts, the left-hander showed improvement on Monday, limiting the Cardinals to three runs on five hits over six innings in an 8-5 loss.

gonzalez-gio-throwing-white-wide-sidebar.jpgGonzalez yielded two runs over seven innings in a 9-2 win over the Braves on May 8 at Nationals Park. But he's only 3-8 with a 4.93 ERA in 12 career starts against Atlanta.

Despite his sterling 2.56 ERA, Braves right-hander Shelby Miller hasn't won since May 17. Over the drought, Miller is 0-11 in 19 starts. He held the Nats to one run in a 2-1 loss in D.C. on June 24.

After smacking a pinch-hit three-run walk-off homer to lift the Nats to victory last night, outfielder Michael A. Taylor is again out of the lineup today as he continues to deal with a bruised right knee.
