MASN announces 2012 Nationals broadcast schedule

MASN, the television home of the Washington Nationals, today announced its Major League Baseball schedule for the 2012 season. Once again, all Nationals games broadcast by MASN will be available in crystal-clear high definition, including the April 5 season opener in Chicago against the Cubs, the April 12 home opener against the Cincinnati Reds, and interleague series against the Baltimore Orioles (May 18-20, June 22-24), Boston Red Sox (June 8-10), Toronto Blue Jays (June 11-13), New York Yankees (June 15-17) and Tampa Bay Rays (June 19-21) of the American League East. The Nationals will have 96 games air live on MASN and MASN HD, and an additional 62 games will be broadcast on MASN2 and MASN2 HD. Four Nationals game are currently scheduled to air on national networks in 2012. Play-by-play voice Bob Carpenter and color analyst F.P. Santangelo, a seven-year major leaguer with four clubs, will again serve as the primary MASN announce team. Carpenter enters his seventh season in the Nationals broadcast booth, while Santangelo begins his second season with MASN. MASN will simulcast 20 Nationals games on WDCW (Channel 50).
