MASN hires Julie Alexandria as new Nationals sideline reporter

There's a new member of MASN's Nationals broadcast team. Julie_Alexandria.jpgMASN has hired Julie Alexandria as its new sideline reporter for Nationals broadcasts, the network confirmed this afternoon. Alexandria will begin appearing on-air as a part of MASN's in-game broadcasts as well as the "Nats Xtra" pregame and postgame shows sometime during the next homestand. Alexandria most recently worked as a sideline reporter for FOX Sports, covering college football. She was part of the broadcast team that covered the 2013 Cotton Bowl. She previously worked for SportsChannel New York as the host of "Mets Weekly," a weekly magazine show. You may have also seen her on MASN doing the Bloomberg Sports fantasy report on the "Mid-Atlantic Sports Report." Alexandria also has worked for the Big Ten Network, SI.com and ABC Sports. Alexandria replaces Kristina Akra, who held the role as MASN's Nationals sideline reporter last season. Akra joined MLB Network at the beginning of April.
