MASN unveils 2014 Nationals broadcast schedule

MASN announced its broadcast schedule for the 2014 Nationals season this afternoon. The television home of the Nats will air 157 of 162 games this season with 97 appearing live on MASN and MASN HD, and 63 on MASN2 and MASN2 HD. Five games are scheduled to be aired on national networks in 2014. MASN will broadcast Washington's March 31 season opener against the New York Mets from Flushing, N.Y., as well as interleague series against the Orioles (July 7-8 and July 9-10) and the AL West - against the Angels (April 21-23), Astros (April 29-30 and June 17-18), Athletics (May 9-11), Rangers (May 30-June 1) and Mariners (Aug. 29-31). MASN will also simulcast 20 Nationals games on WUSA 9 in Washington, D.C., including the April 4 home opener against the Braves. Play-by-play voice Bob Carpenter and color analyst F.P. Santangelo return to the MASN booth as the primary team calling Nats games. Carpenter enters his ninth season in that capacity, while Santangelo begins his fourth with MASN.
