Nationals announce 2011 Red Carpet Rewards Progrram

The Washington Nationals today announced the launch of the revamped Red Carpet Rewards Program, a brand new online platform that gives season ticket holders the ability to access, track, share and redeem loyalty points for additional Nationals tickets and parking throughout the season. The Nationals will be the first team in Major League Baseball to host an online points-based loyalty program for fans. "The Nationals are proud to be the first Major League team to offer our fans this unique system," Nationals Chief Operating Officer Andrew C. Feffer said. "We are always looking for different ways to enhance the experience for Nats fans through innovative technologies, and this is just the beginning. In the future this platform will evolve to be used at concession stands, retail stores and to gain entrance to games. The possibilities are endless." Red Carpet Rewards members can now manage the points they earn from their season ticket purchases through this new online program, which makes it easier than ever to share points with friends, family and seat partners. Points are based on season ticket plans - the more season tickets members have, the more free tickets they can receive. Similar to last season, points can be redeemed for seats in a variety of sections at different pricing categories, including the Lexus Presidents Club and PNC Diamond Club. But for the first time ever, members will also be able to monitor available sections for specific games and can combine points to purchase high point items like seats in the Washington Suites and Party Suites or premium parking options near Nationals Park. They will also be able to utilize a print-at-home ticket option via Tickets.com. To develop this online platform, the Nationals partnered with Fortress, the premier loyalty management and virtual ticketing provider in Europe that serves more than 100 soccer teams and stadiums in Europe and Asia. With the launch of the Red Carpet Rewards Program, the Nationals will be the first baseball team to bring this advanced online platform to the United States. Seats reserved through the program are the best available at the time of issue. Tickets redeemed with points are ineligible for upgrades, exchanges and/or returns.
