Nationals return to Washington to conclude 2020 regular season with eight-game homestand

The Nationals return to D.C. to finish out the rest of the 2020 regular season with an eight-game homestand starting with a four-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies (September 21-23) and a four-game series against the New York Mets (September 24-27). Due to a previously postponed game against the Philadelphia Phillies, on Tuesday, September 22, there will be a shortened seven-inning doubleheader at Nats Park. Additionally, Saturday, September 26 vs. New York Mets will be an exclusive national broadcast on FOX with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET. The game will also be broadcast on 106.7 The Fan FM.

Monday, September 21 vs. Phillies -

o U.S. Army Day

o On Monday, the Nationals will be hosting a virtual U.S. Army Day as part of our Military Branch Days.

o Pre-game ceremonies include:

* National Anthem will be a pre-recorded performance by the United States Army Brass Quintet.

* First Pitch will be a pre-recorded video thrown by Command Sgt. Maj. Edwin T. Brooks, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), U.S. Army Military District of Washington.

* Play Ball! will be a pre-recorded video by Col. Patrick M. Roddy Jr., 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), U.S. Army Military District of Washington.

* God Bless America will be a pre-recorded video performed by Sergeant Major Bob McDonald, United States Army Chorus.

Tuesday, September 22 Doubleheader vs. Phillies -

o National Voter Registration Day

o The Nationals have always viewed Nationals Park as a civic asset and are excited to open our ballpark to serve as a Super Center voting location in the upcoming election.

o On Tuesday, we will be providing reminders throughout the day on our social channels and during the games to encourage fans to vote.

o First Pitch and Play Ball! will be pre-recorded videos from representatives of When We All Vote, a non-profit, nonpartisan organization that is on a mission to increase participation in every election and help close the race and age voting gap.
