Nationals reinstate Anthony Rendon

The Washington Nationals recalled from rehab and reinstated infielder Anthony Rendon from the 10-day disabled list and optioned infielder Adrian Sanchez to Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday. Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcement. Rendon, 27, appeared in two Minor League rehab games with Single-A Potomac, went 5-for-8 (.625) with two doubles, one RBI, and three runs scored. Prior to his injury he hit .286 (16-for-56) with four doubles, one home run, six walks and five runs scored in 14 games. Sanchez, 27, appeared in five games for Washington, hitting .214 (3-for-14) with one double, one RBI and one run scored.
