Relive "Nationals Classics": Sweet '16

The second round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament will wrap up today, meaning there will be only 16 teams remaining with national championship hopes. Here's hoping your bracket's not busted.

With the Sweet 16 starting on Thursday, MASN is bringing you a couple of sweet Nationals games from 2016 this week. (Friendly reminder that we are also airing two live spring training games this week: Monday, March 20 at 1 p.m. against the Yankees and Thursday, March 23 at 1 p.m. against the Mets.)

Check out this week's lineup of "Nationals Classics" from a sweet 2016 season:

Wednesday, March 22, noon - The Nationals hit 203 home runs last season, the most in franchise history. On April 19, they also set a franchise record by hitting four home runs in the same inning. A seven-run seventh was plenty of offense for the Nats behind Stephen Strasburg's dominant eight innings in a 7-0 win over the Marlins. Jayson Werth, Wilson Ramos, Bryce Harper (grand slam) and Ryan Zimmerman went deep in the seventh.

Tanner-Roark-throws-white-sidebar.jpgFriday, March 24, 7 p.m. - Tanner Roark set a personal record on April 23 against the Twins at Nats Park. Roark struck out a career-high 15 batters over seven shutout innings in the Nationals' 2-0 win.

Saturday, March 25, 8 p.m. - The following day against the Twins, the Nationals needed a little more help. Trailing late, the Nationals were able to rally and tie the game in the bottom of the ninth on Harper's pinch-hit home run. After trading runs in extras, Chris Heisey finally sent everyone home with a walk-off home run in the 16th for a 6-5 win.

Sunday, March 26, 2 p.m. - This game against the Tigers on May 9 was all kinds of crazy. Strasburg uncharacteristically gave up two home runs. Harper was ejected in the ninth. And right after, Clint Robinson delivered a walk-off home run when he thought it actually was the eighth.
