Santangelo, fellow broadcasters join forces to benefit area food charities

MASN Nationals analyst F.P. Santangelo is among a cadre of broadcasters from Washington, D.C., sports franchises who are collaborating for a good cause: eradicating hunger in the District.

Through "Voices of D.C. Sports: Helping to Feed the City," broadcasters covering the Nationals, Capitals, Wizards, Redskins and D.C. United are recording personalized messages using Cameo, a video shoutout platform. For a minimum $25 donation, Santangelo and other familiar voices will record a personalized video message, with proceeds benefiting three charities: Capital Area Food Bank, DC Central Kitchen and Martha's Table.

Also taking part in the initiative are Capitals broadcasters Joe Beninati, Al Koken, Craig Laughlin and Alan May of NBC Sports Washington, and Capitals radio voice John Walton; Redskins broadcaster Larry Michael; Wizards broadcasters Caron Butler, Glenn Consor, Drew Gooden and Justin Kutcher of NBC Sports Washington; and Dave Johnson, who handles Wizards and D.C. United play-by-play.

Search Cameo for the broadcaster of your choice here. Fans can also make a donation to the charities by texting DCSPORTS to 44321.
