Second blood drive set for Saturday, August 27

Here's the deal, folks: You've got blood, lots of it, enough to spare, and the Nationals have tickets to come see them play. Basically, the Nats are looking for a straight up trade. You give your blood, they'll give you two tickets to a game. Sound fair? I've got a bag filling as I type (not really, that'd be kind of gross). But as someone who has given blood in the past, I'm proud to announce the Washington Nationals' second blood drive of the season to be held this Saturday, August 27. Fans interested in donating can come to the Nationals Park Conference Center, located at 1500 South Capitol Street, SE Washington, DC 20003, any time from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and give a portion of their blood. In return, fans will receive two tickets to a future Nationals game and an exclusive Nationals T-shirt, and can also earn opportunities to win autographed memorabilia and take a behind-the-scenes tour of Nationals Park. The event, held by the Nationals in partnership with Inova Blood Donor Services, helps support 15 different hospitals in the Washington, D.C. metro area. More than 250 units of blood are needed daily by local patients, but your donation could save up to three lives. If you're interested in giving blood, you must make an appointment and may do so by contacting 1-866-BLOODSAVES (256-6372) or by visiting inova.org/donateblood, click 'donate blood' and enter sponsor code 7665.
