And another thing...(Braden scratched)

Update: Dallas Braden has been scratched from tonight's start. Vin Mazzaro (2-2, 4.71 ERA) will replace him. The Orioles' lineup could change. More to come. Tonight's game pits two teams with the longest winning streaks in baseball. The Orioles have won four in a row, and Oakland has won three straight. The Orioles have won their last four one-run games, improving their record to 13-11. They've scored 28 runs in the last four games after totaling 27 in the previous seven. Oakland leads the American League with eight shutouts. The Orioles have one. Neither team has been prolific with the long ball. The Orioles have 59 homers, which ranks 22nd in the majors. The A's have 50 homers, which ranks 27th. Ty Wigginton is 3-for-20 against Oakland this season, but he leads the Orioles with two homers and eight RBIs. He's also drawn seven walks. Brian Matusz allowed two homers in five April starts and three homers in five May starts. He's surrendered six homers in five starts this month. Opponents are batting .451 against Matusz on 0-1 counts and .385 on 1-0 counts. No. 8 hitters post the highest average (.429) against Matusz. They post a .361 average against Dallas Braden, also the highest against the Oakland lefty. Weird, huh? Braden is 0-5 with a 4.31 ERA since his perfect game against Tampa Bay. Double-A Bowie has announced the selection of four players to the Western Division team for the Eastern League All-Star Game that takes place July 14. Left-hander Zach Britton and left fielder Tyler Henson were voted in by fans. First baseman Joel Guzman and right-hander Pedro Beato also were honored. Britton couldn't have participated because he's pitching in the Futures Game. Also, he's been promoted to Triple-A Norfolk.
