Another rough outing for Tillman

Chris Tillman can't seem to get on a roll during his latest stint at Triple-A Norfolk. He allowed four runs and nine hits over five innings today against Indianapolis, with two walks and four strikeouts. He also threw two wild pitches, committed a throwing error and departed with his pitch count at 81. Tillman has surrendered 13 earned runs (15 total) and 24 hits, and walked seven, over 13 innings in his three starts since being optioned to Norfolk. The Orioles called him up after his one-hit shutout of Charlotte on July 5, but that seems like ages ago. On a separate minor league note, Double-A Bowie playoff tickets went on sale this morning. They're available as a strip of five lower-reserved seat tickets for $50 covering every potential playoff game. Individual game playoff tickets will become available once the schedule is set. Lower-reserved seating is $14. If Bowie wins the West Division, the first playoff game at Prince George's Stadium will be Sept. 9. Go to www.baysox.com or call the team's group sales department at 301-464-4880 until 5 p.m. on Sept. 7.
