Burgess has big debut in H'Burg

A spectacular debut for outfielder Michael Burgess with Double-A Harrisburg Tuesday night. Burgess smacked a pair of solo homers in his first game for the Senators. Erie came back and won the game 4-3 in 10. Burgess connected in the fifth and seventh innings against Erie right-handed starter Anthony Shawler, who has allowed five home runs in his last three appearances. Burgess ended up going 2-for-4 with 2 HRs, 2 runs and 2 RBI in his initial game for Harrisburg. Brad Peacock had a great start, going seven innings, allowing no runs on one hit and striking out eight batters, walking three. At one point, he had retired 14 in a row and didn't allow that hit until the seventh inning. The Senators could not hold the lead in the late going and the game went into extra innings, where the Sea Wolves scored a run in the 10th inning off of Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez. Erie scored on a double, a ground out and fielder's choice to win the game after scoring two in the ninth to force the extra frame.
