Checking on Tillman (updated twice)

Chris Tillman isn't especially sharp tonight at Triple-A Norfolk, but he's limited Rochester to one run over four innings and the Tides hold a 2-1 lead. Tillman has scattered six hits, walked one and struck out five. He's thrown 82 pitches, 54 for strikes. I'd say a complete game is pretty much out of the question, but not a victory. Tillman threw 46 pitches in the first two innings and allowed four of the six hits. Josh Bell has an RBI double. Nolan Reimold, serving as the designated hitter, is 0-for-1 with a strikeout to lower his average to .097. Update: Tillman was pushed to 117 pitches in six innings, allowing one run and eight hits, walking one and striking out seven. His ERA is down to 3.12. Tillman has surrendered one run and 11 hits in his last two starts covering 13 innings, with three walks and 11 strikeouts. Over his last seven starts, Tillman has allowed 11 earned run and 38 hits over 48 innings, with eight walks and 37 strikeouts. Armando Gabino is pitching the seventh. Does this mean he isn't coming to Baltimore tomorrow? Double-A Bowie's Matt Angle hit his first home run since coming off the disabled list. He underwent surgery to remove a broken hamate bone suffered late in spring training. Ryan Adams also hit his first home run. Single-A Frederick first baseman Joe Mahoney drove in his 28th run, but came out of the game after two at-bats. Don't know why. Update II: Mahoney left the game in the fifth after taking a line drive off his hand the previous inning.
