Flaherty at second base tonight (Hall is here)

Ryan Flaherty is starting at second base tonight, as manager Buck Showalter inserts an extra left-handed bat in the lineup against Blue Jays right-hander Carlos Villanueva. For the Orioles: Nate McLouth LF J.J. Hardy SS Chris Davis RF Adam Jones CF Matt Wieters C Jim Thome DH Mark Reynolds 1B Ryan Flaherty 2B Manny Machado 3B Miguel Gonzalez RHP Hardy is 8-for-15 with four doubles and a home run against Villanueva. Davis is 5-for-8 with a double and two homers. Reynolds is 5-for-14 with two homers. Wieters is 0-for-15. Note: Bill Hall has been summoned to Baltimore. He isn't on the roster yet, but the Orioles could add him later today. The Orioles could use another right-handed bat if Lew Ford's groin injury doesn't improve. Also, LJ Hoes will likely be sent back to the instructional league. The club wants him to get ready for the Arizona Fall League. A corresponding 40-man roster move will be necessary to create room for Hall. Randy Wolf could be placed on the 60-day disabled list. Hall, who joined the instructional league a week ago, went 2-for-9 with a home run in seven games with the Orioles. Also, former NFL cornerback Deion Sanders is in the house. He's wearing No. 21 and taking batting practice. Showalter managed Sanders in Double-A ball and was the Yankees' third base coach when Sanders hit his infamous inside-the-park home run that ended with him hurling the catcher. Sanders found out from Showalter that the Yankees were calling him up. For the Blue Jays: Brett Lawrie 3B Colby Rasmus CF Edwin Encarnacion DH Yunel Escobar SS Adam Lind 1B Rajai Davis RF Omar Vizquel 2B J.P. Arencibia C Anthony Gose LF Carlos Villanueva RHP
