Going, Going, Gonzo (updated)

Michael Gonzalez gave up a home run in his second straight injury rehab game, this time in Double-A Bowie. Gonzalez retired the first Akron batter he faced to end the fifth inning, but he served up a two-out homer in the sixth and came out of the game. He recorded two outs on fly balls and one on a grounder. Gonzalez surrendered a two-run homer against Brooklyn in his most recent appearance with short-season Single-A Aberdeen. Update: Felix Pie went 1-for-4 with a triple, walk and two strikeouts. Greg Miclat hit his first Double-A home run. Cla Meredith threw a scoreless inning for Triple-A Norfolk. Single-A Frederick third baseman Billy Rowell went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. He also committed his 20th error. Brad Bergesen gave the Orioles 7 2/3 innings, his only serious mistakes the two home runs to J.D. Drew. But he was charged with a third run after he left the game on Daniel Nava's pinch-hit bloop single off left-hander Will Ohman, and the Red Sox claimed a 3-2 victory. I didn't exactly save the best for last.
