The Nationals 19-year-old sensation Juan Soto made his first Major League hit one to remember.

The home run traveled 422 feet and came off the bat at 107 mph.

Trea Turner and Bryce Harper added RBI doubles. An inning later, Mark Reynolds added a solo homer.

Left-hander Gio Gonzalez surrendered only one hit in the first three innings.

After three innings, the Nats lead the Padres 6-0.

Update: In the fourth, Franmil Reyes launched a two-run shot to get San Diego on the board.

After four innings, the Nats lead the Padres 6-2.

Update II: Harper, as if to say "Don't You Forget About Me", crushed a solo homer over the left field wall next to the foul pole. His 14th homer was off of Padres reliever Bryan Mitchell and came on a 3-1 pitch.

After five innings, the Nats lead the Padres 7-2.

Update III: In the sixth, Soto singled. Michael A. Taylor with a RBI triple to score Soto. Turner RBI triple to score Taylor. Nats pouring it on.

After six innings, the Nats lead the Padres 9-2.

Update IV: Soto is the first teenager to hit a home run in a Major League game since Harper did it on September 30, 2012.

Reynolds hit his second homer of the game in the seventh.

Gonzalez went seven innings, allowing two runs on two hits with three walks and five strikeouts. He fired 111 pitches, 68 for strikes.

Update V: Tim Collins, in his first appearance since the 2014 World Series with the Royals, pitched a scoreless eighth inning, allowing one hit and striking out two.

After eight, the Nats lead 10-2.

Update VI: Carlos Torres allowed a single but no runs in the ninth.

Final score: the Nats 10, the Padres 2.
