Matusz through four (updated three times)

The Angels have collected six hits off Orioles left-hander Brian Matusz through four innings. Half of them haven't left the infield. The only run scored on a broken-bat grounder by Mike Napoli in the fourth. Howie Kendrick doubled and moved to third on a grounder. Matusz hasn't walked a batter, which is encouraging when you consider that he issued 13 in his last four starts covering 13 innings. He's struck out two and thrown 61 pitches. Big nights for Adam Jones and Felix Pie, who are a combined 4-for-4 with two singles, a double, a triple, a stolen base, two RBIs and three runs scored. Pie has the triple, stolen base and both RBIs. Brian Roberts remains in the game. He just walked with two outs in the fourth and took third on Nick Markakis' double. Perhaps his night will merely be a footnote to another victory. Sorry. I'm told that a storm is headed this way. The Orioles need to get through the fifth with a lead and let nature take its course. Instant update: Roberts and Markakis scored on Ty Wigginton's single. Orioles 6, Angels 1. Instant update II: Luke Scott followed with his 20th homer. Orioles 8, Angels 1. Are you sure you want to trade this guy? Scott has homered in three straight games, the first Oriole to accomplish that feat since Pie on Aug. 28-Sept. 1, 2009. Jones doubled again, making him 3-for-3. Instant update III: Jones scored on Pie's single, which knocked Ervin Santana from the game. Finally. Jones and Pie are a combined 6-for-6. Pie has three RBIs.
