Nats announce 2019 minor league staff

Randy Knorr has been named the manager of the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies, highlighting the announcement of the Nationals' 2019 minor league staff.

Knorr-white-sidebar.jpgThe former major league catcher, and longtime mainstay as a coach at every level for several seasons for the Nats, becomes the 11th manager in Grizzlies history. The 2019 campaign marks his third season as skipper of the Nats' Triple-A affiliate.

Brian Daubach is the hitting coach and Brad Holman will be the pitching coach, the same coaching staff the Nats had for their Triple-A affiliate in Syracuse last season. Eric Montague returns as the athletic trainer and Mike Warren the strength and conditioning coach.

The Double-A Harrisburg Senators coaching staff also remains intact. Matt LeCroy is returning as manager and hitting coach is Brian Rupp. Also returning are pitching coach Michael Tejera, athletic trainer TD Swinford and RJ Guyer as the strength and conditioning coach.

The same can be said for the high Single-A Potomac Nationals with Tripp Keister as manager, Sam Narron as pitching coach, Luis Ordaz as hitting coach, Don Neidig as athletic trainer and Shane Hill as the strength and conditioning coach.

Low Single-A Hagerstown has a new pitching coach. Mack Jenkins comes over from the Reds, where he was their pitching coach from 2016 to 2018. Jenkins has 32 years of experience in the Cincinnati organization. Patrick Anderson is the manager again and Amaury Garcia the hitting coach.

Ralph "Rocket" Wheeler is the new manager for the short-season Single-A Auburn Doubledays. He spent 16 years as manager in the Braves organization. Franklin Bravo is the pitching coach and Mark Harris is the hitting coach.

Mario Lisson is the manager for Rookie-level Gulf Coast Nationals with Larry Pardo the pitching coach and Jorge Mejia the hitting coach. The Rookie-level Dominican Summer League field coordinator and manager is Sandy Martinez. Pablo Frias is the pitching coach and the hitting coach is Freddy Guzman.

Spin Williams will again function as senior advisor/player development, co-field coordinators are Tommy Shields and Jeff Garber, the pitching coordinator is Paul Menhart, the hitting coordinator is Troy Gingrich, the outfield/baserunning coordinator is Gary Thurman, the catching coordinator is Michael Barrett, the information/roving coordinator is Billy Gardner Jr., the rehabilitation pitching coordinator is Mark Grater, the medical rehab coordinator is Jon Kotredes, the assistant medical coordinator is Jeff Allred, the strength and conditioning coordinator is Tony Rogowski and the minor league equipment coordinator is Calvin Minasian.
