Notes on roster, Tyler Wilson, coaching staff, Chris Parmelee and more

Orioles manager Buck Showalter doesn't anticipate the club bringing up any more players following today's additions.

"We're at 34 now? That's enough," Showalter said.

The Orioles did consider outfielder David Lough, who recently was hit on the right hand while trying to bunt. X-rays were negative.

Lough isn't part of the taxi squad in Sarasota, a group that includes outfielder Henry Urrutia, infielder Rey Navarro and catcher Audry Perez.

Triple-A Norfolk manager Ron Johnson and pitching coach Mike Griffin will join the Orioles' staff next week while the club is in Washington D.C. Another coach will be added during the last homestand.

Showalter is encouraged that injured pitchers Dylan Bundy, Bobby Bundy, Hunter Harvey, Parker Bridwell and Tim Berry are throwing down in Sarasota.

Outfielder Chris Parmelee will undergo surgery to repair a broken left forearm. Parmelee was injured last month after being hit by a Matt Moore pitch in Triple-A Durham.

Parmelee was playing his second game for Norfolk after being designated for assignment and accepting an outright assignment. The Orioles want to re-sign him over the winter.

Ubaldo Jimenez is seeking his 100th career win tonight.

Here are the starters for the Rays series at Tropicana Field:

Thursday: Chris Tillman (9-11, 5.21 ERA) vs. Matt Moore (1-4, 8.42 ERA)
Friday: Wei-Yin Chen (9-7, 3.44) vs. Drew Smyly (2-2, 3.14 ERA)
Saturday: Kevin Gausman (3-6, 4.15 ERA) vs. Erasmo Ramirez (10-5, 3.75 ERA)
