The Orioles lost Saturday afternoon to the Cleveland Indians, and they are now a major league-worst 5-12 (.294) in day games this season. They play another day game here today, and it's on a Sunday to boot. The Orioles are just 1-6 on Sundays this season. Double whammy or reverse lock? Miguel Gonzalez (2-3, 4.53 ERA) will pitch for the Orioles against right-hander Trevor Bauer (1-1, 2.25). Bauer, the third overall pick by Arizona in the 2011 draft, has made two big league starts this year. He is also 4-1 with a 2.15 ERA in seven starts at Triple-A Columbus. Bauer's fastball averaged 94 mph in his first start this year and 95 in his second, according to Fangraphs. Gonzalez has allowed three earned runs or less for seven straight starts. He is 1-1 with a 2.70 ERA in four games at home. Some other notes on the O's and Indians: * The Orioles have made just 22 errors, which is the fewest in the American League, and have the AL's best fielding percentage at .988. Cleveland has made 51 errors, easily the most in the league. The next closest team has made 39. The Tribe's fielding percentage of .973 ranks last in the league. * O's pitching has allowed 40 runs over the last six games, giving up eight runs or more four times. O's starters have an ERA of 8.48 in that time. * The Orioles scored 38 runs in the five games before yesterday when they were shut out on eight hits. It was their fourth time being shut out on the season. * J.J. Hardy is 12-for-24 during a six-game hitting streak with five multi-hit games. Adam Jones is batting .364 over his last 18 games with five homers and 12 RBIs. Nelson Cruz has hit three homers his last five games and five in his past 10 games. * Cleveland pitchers combined to record 11 strikeouts here on Saturday. It was the 22nd time the Tribe has fanned 10 or more this season, which leads the major leagues. * Saturday's attendance was 36,873, bringing the average for the season up to 30,260. The Orioles rank sixth in the AL in home attendance, and that figure is up over last year's average of 29,106.
