O's to host series of four summer camps

The O's will host four official Orioles Baseball Summer Camps this season with dates in June, July and August. Boys and girls of all skill levels and ages 7-16 can sign up. Camps will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day and will be run by professional baseball instructors with years of experience coaching and playing at the youth, high school, collegiate, and professional levels. In addition to the baseball fundamentals they'll learn at camp, kids will be treated to one appearance per week by a current Orioles player, as well as another appearance by a former Oriole. Adam-Jones-with-Fan.jpg Campers will also receive lunch and an afternoon snack each day, an Orioles T-Shirt, membership to the Junior Orioles Dugout Club (which includes free admission to several O's games this summer), and the chance to get autographs and photos with Orioles guests. Finally, one day of the week will even be held at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, giving the kids a chance to play on the same field as their favorite team. The cost is $325 per child per week. Dates and locations for each of the Orioles Summer Camps are listed below: *June 21-25: Carroll County Sports Complex (Westminster, MD) July 19-22: Memorial Park Complex (York, PA) August 2-6: Overlea High School (Baltimore, MD) August 16-20: Kiwanis Wallas Park (Ellicott City, MD) *NOTE: O's outfielder Adam Jones has already been scheduled to work with campers, participate in a Q&A session, and sign autographs for the first camp, which runs from June 21-25 at the Carroll County Sports Complex.
