Orioles adjust times for home games in 2020 (spring update)

The changes filtering through the Orioles organization now include start times for certain home games.

The club announced today that games at Camden Yards for the upcoming season will begin at 6:35 p.m. for all weeknights prior to Memorial Day and after Labor Day.

"The Orioles are committed to providing the most family-friendly experience in Major League Baseball," Greg Bader, Orioles senior vice president of administration and experience, said in a statement. "The earlier start time for select weekday games is based upon extensive feedback from our fan base as we continue to explore efforts that can enhance the Oriole Park experience for families, children, and fans of all ages."

The Orioles open the season at Camden Yards on March 26 versus the Yankees, with first pitch scheduled for 3:05 p.m. The home schedule features nine 4:05 p.m. Saturday afternoon start times and six mid-week day games.

Home weeknight games after Memorial Day and before Labor Day will remain at 7:05 p.m. and the Sunday home games will remain at 1:05 p.m., with kids ages four to 14 still allowed to run the bases at the conclusion.

The new schedule contains 6:35 p.m. start times for 16 weeknight games, with nine played in April and May and seven in September, including all four games of the final homestand against the Rays.

The season concludes again with a weekend series in Boston.

The Orioles also announced they'll continue to offer initiatives such as Kids Cheer Free and the Kids' Corner.
