In today's split-squad game in Fort Myers, Dariel Alvarez tripled and scored on Paul Janish's sacrifice fly, but Boston's Sam Travis hit a three-run homer off Vance Worley in the bottom of the second inning.

Rule 5 pick Joey Rickard has singled, walked and stolen a base in two plate appearances.

Former Orioles pitcher Steve Johnson, released by the Rangers in spring training, has signed a minor league deal with the Mariners. He'll report to their minor league camp.

Update: Christian Walker hit a three-run homer in the top of the third to give the Orioles a 4-3 lead. He's got three doubles, a triple, four home runs and 14 RBIs this spring.

My colleague, Steve Melewski, is in Fort Myers today. Be sure to check his blog for more details.
