"Orioles Classics" #TBT: Adam Jones records career hit No. 1,500

The 2017 season was full of record-breaking games for Orioles outfielder Adam Jones. One of his first celebratory moments came on April 24, when he recorded his 1,500th career hit with a fifth-inning single against the Rays' Chris Archer. Always humble, Jones didn't realize he reached a milestone until after the game:

His day wasn't over yet. In the seventh inning, Jones' 1,501st hit was a two-run homer that gave the O's the lead in a 6-3 win.

Jones ended the season with 1,650 career hits, 1,618 as an Oriole, to move him up to fourth on the O's all-time hits list, passing Brady Anderson's 1,614.

Here are a few "Orioles Classics" coming up on MASN through next week:

Thursday, Dec. 14, 7 p.m. - Because it was just that good, we're taking you back to this season's opening day. Mark Trumbo picked up right where he left off after leading the majors with 47 homers in 2016. Tied 2-2 with two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the 11th inning, he blasted a solo shot to left-center, the first walk-off home run on opening day in O's history.

Sunday, Dec. 17, 2 p.m. - Instead of snow showers, stay inside and relive the champaigne showers from Sept. 16, 2014, when the O's clinched their first American League East title since their 98-win 1997 season. The 8-2 win over the Blue Jays was the their first division-securing win at home since 1979.

Wednesday, Dec. 20, 7 p.m. - With the O's trailing the Angels at Camden Yards, Manny Machado walked off with a grand slam for a 9-7 win. It was also Machado's second-career three-homer game - his 24th (a two-run homer in the third inning), 25th (a solo shot in the fifth inning) and 26th home runs of the season - which helped him earn American League Player of the Month honors for August.
