Orioles lineup against Indians (Bergesen quotes and note on trade)

Ryan Flaherty gets another start at second base tonight, as manager Buck Showalter continues to platoon him with right-handed hitting Steve Tolleson. We'll see if that arrangement changes tomorrow after the Orioles acquired Omar Quintanilla from the Mets for future considerations or cash. For the Orioles: Nick Markakis RF J.J. Hardy SS Jim Thome DH Adam Jones CF Matt Wieters C Wilson Betemit 3B Chris Davis LF Mark Reynolds 1B Ryan Flaherty 2B Miguel Gonzalez RHP Also, Brian's Baseball Bash, the fundraiser hosted by second baseman Brian Roberts that benefits the University of Maryland Children's Hospital, has been cancelled for the second straight year because of his hip injury. Roberts had to cancel last year while suffering from post-concussion symptoms, but he made a sizable donation. He's currently in Sarasota while deciding whether to undergo surgery to repair a labral tear in his hip. Meanwhile, reliever Brad Bergesen has been told that he's joining the Diamondbacks tomorrow and that he'll pitch out of their bullpen. He won't get there in time for the game, so he's treating it like a travel day. "I'm extremely excited for the opportunity, but I also have mixed feelings," Bergesen said. "This is the only organization I've ever known and I have such great memories with it. It's a bittersweet thing, but I'm very, very excited about the opportunity I'm getting." Bergesen will be reunited with former Orioles pitcher David Hernandez. "That's always encouraging, especially since I've never been with another team," Bergesen said. "To be able to go into the clubhouse and know somebody, it's nice to know that." Bergesen will fly into Phoenix tomorrow "and get situated, check out the clubhouse, get organized," he said. As for today's trade, the Orioles announced that Quintanilla was obtained from the Mets for "cash considerations." Quintanilla has a .993 career fielding percentage (two errors in 297 chances) in 106 games at second base and a .984 career fielding percentage (seven errors in 444 chances) in 119 games at shortstop.
