Orioles-Red Sox game postponed (updated)

BOSTON - Today's game between the Orioles and Red Sox at Fenway Park has been postponed due to inclement weather associated with Tropical Storm Arthur. The teams will play a day-night doubleheader on Saturday with Game 1 scheduled for 1:05 p.m. and Game 2 at 7:15 p.m. The first game will air on MASN2 HD and the second game on FOX. The Orioles haven't confirmed their starters, but it's expected to be Miguel Gonzalez and Ubaldo Jimenez, who was slated to pitch on Saturday. Kevin Gausman isn't a candidate for the doubleheader. He'd already be working on short rest if he starts Sunday afternoon. Left-hander Jon Lester will start Game 1 for the Red Sox, with John Lackey starting Game 2. Manny Machado's suspension will end after Game 1, giving the Orioles a full 25-man roster for the nightcap. The Red Sox put the tarp on the field earlier this morning and a light rain began to fall for a few minutes. The postponement is due to the anticipated storm. I guess this is one way to keep Steve Pearce hitless today. Here are the pitching matchups for the upcoming home-and-home series between the Orioles and Nationals: Monday - Chris Tillman vs. Stephen Strasburg Tuesday - Wei-Yin Chen vs. Doug Fister Wednesday - Miguel Gonzalez vs. Tanner Roark Thursday - Ubaldo Jimenez vs. Gio Gonzalez Update: Still waiting for the Orioles to confirm their starters for the doubleheader. Assuming it's Gonzalez and Jimenez Saturday, the Orioles could start Gausman on Sunday and Bud Norris or Chris Tillman on Monday. Norris could be pushed back to Tuesday if he needs an extra day before coming off the disabled list. Tillman would be working on normal rest Monday. Wei-Yin Chen, who pitched last night, could start on Wednesday. The Orioles would return to a six-man rotation with Norris back in the mix. Norris was scheduled to throw a bullpen session or a simulated game today. He'd still be a consideration for Monday if he threw a sim game. Just not sure where it would happen.
