Orioles to support annual New Year's Eve Spectacular as presenting sponsor

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts announce the Baltimore Orioles as presenting sponsor of the area's largest New Year's Eve celebration. Baltimore's New Year's Eve Spectacular presented by the Baltimore Orioles takes place Monday, December 31, 2012 from 9pm to 12:30am. Festivities include live entertainment and a fireworks show. The presenting sponsor is the Baltimore Orioles with additional support by Harborplace, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Four Seasons, Hilton Garden Inn, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards and Visit Baltimore. Media sponsorship is provided by WJZ-TV 13 and Downtown Diane. Baltimore's New Year's Eve Spectacular presented by the Baltimore Orioles features live music from local Top 40 band OutBreak and the city's official countdown to 2013. Entertainment starts at 9pm in Inner Harbor Amphitheater, located at Pratt and Light streets. At midnight, the multicolored fireworks display illuminates the skyline of the Baltimore Inner Harbor and can be seen from Federal Hill, Fell's Point and Harbor East. The show is produced by Pyrotecnico from two barges and choreographed to holiday and today's hit music, including fan favorite songs "Orioles Magic" and "Glad You Came."
