Tarp is off the field, Harrisburg at Bowie on schedule (updated)

BOWIE, Md. - Standing by for game one of the three game set at Prince George's Stadium, with the Double-A Harrisburg Senators preparing to take on the Bowie Baysox. Left-hander Zach Britton, looking to return to the Orioles, goes for the Baysox against the Senators' right-hander Tanner Roark (4-7, 6.29), who is looking to snap a five-game losing skid It was absolutely pouring from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. The tarp has been on the field and batting practice is cancelled. Currently (4:30 p.m.) it is a steady, light rain. My guess is they will be able to get the game in, but if this rain doesn't stop, things could change quickly. The tarp is now off the field and the game is on schedule (updated 5:11 p.m.). Top prospect Bryce Harper is expected to meet with the media prior to the game. It will be interesting to see the Harper vs. Britton matchup. The Nationals made a couple of transactions before the game. Infielder Sean Nicol and left-hander Evan Bronson were sent to Single-A Potomac. Right-hander Erik Davis was promoted back to Harrisburg from Potomac. Infielder/outfielder Leonard Davis has been signed by the Nationals and has been signed to Harrisburg.
