Trumbo, Castillo added to FanFest lineup

Mark Trumbo will be reintroduced to the media Friday afternoon during a press conference at Camden Yards that will air live at 3 p.m. on MASN and 105.7 The Fan.

The timing is no accident.

Trumbo will be signing autographs in two sessions. He'll join Caleb Joseph and Hall of Famer Jim Palmer from 2-3 p.m. at station 4 and Chris Lee and Ken Dixon from 4:40-5:40 p.m. at station 3.

The two spots opened up due to Jonathan Schoop's excused absence.

New catcher Welington Castillo also has been added to the lineup. He's signing with Adam Jones and Trey Mancini from 11:20 a.m.-12:20 p.m. at station 3.

Castillo is replacing Adam Walker, who was designated for assignment to create room for Trumbo on the 40-man roster.

All of the sessions are sold out.

New outfielder Seth Smith has a previous commitment and is unable to attend FanFest.

Meanwhile, the Orioles confirmed the signings of nine minor league free agents. All of the names have appeared here, but it's nice to make it official.

The Orioles signed pitchers Mario Alcantara, Tim Berry, Bobby Bundy, Trey Haley, Cody Satterwhite and Zach Stewart, and infielders Alex Castellanos, Jesus Montero and Sharlon Schoop.

Alcantara and Montero must serve 50-game suspensions.
