Weather update: It's raining

That's all I've got, folks. The rain stopped for a while and now it's started up again. The tarp is on the field at Camden Yards. Needless to say - though I'm saying it anyway - the Orioles will hit indoors. Batting practice outside isn't an option. Also, no official word on whether the Orioles would schedule a doubleheader Wednesday if tonight's game is postponed. It hasn't been ruled out as a possibility. That, too, is pending. It doesn't sound as though the Rays are excited about the possibility of playing two games on Wednesday. They're back in Baltimore in June and August. The Orioles are off Thursday, but the Rays are hosting the Yankees at Tropicana Field. Down on the farm, the Orioles have released outfielder Trent Mummey, who was on Single-A Frederick's roster. Mummey was a fourth-round pick in the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of Auburn University. Health issues derailed his career, including a concussion sustained when he slammed into the fence at Harry Grove Stadium. He also dealt with hamstring injuries. As my colleague Dan Kolko tweeted, the Orioles could re-sign the outfielder and call it "The Mummey Returns."
