Worth noting (updated)

Center fielder Adam Jones told reporters yesterday that his sore shoulder wasn't going to force him onto the disabled list and he expected to play today against the Mariners at Safeco Field. If he needs added incentive, Jones went 8-for-14 (.571) with two doubles, a triple, five RBIs, and a walk against his former team during a May 10-12 series at Camden Yards. Update: The Sun's Jeff Zrebiec tweeted that Jones isn't in today's lineup, but the center fielder says his shoulder feels better and he intends to play tomorrow. Manager Buck Showalter still hasn't posted the lineup, and I'm waiting for it as if I have absolutely nothing better to do today. The Orioles have one extra-base hit, J.J. Hardy's double yesterday, in the last three games spanning 27 innings. They drew 15 walks in those three games, all losses to Oakland, but only two of them came around to score. Jake Arrieta is third on the club with 61 innings pitched, but he receives more run support (7.23 per game) than Zach Britton (3.82 in 70 2/3 innings) and Jeremy Guthrie (3.09 in 67 innings) combined. Arrieta has the fourth-best run support in the league, while Guthrie has the 10th-worst and Britton has the 19th-worst. The Orioles and Mariners are the only teams in the majors to use the same five starting pitchers all season, but left-hander Brian Matusz will be activated for Wednesday's game. Vladimir Guerrero has hit in 14 straight games, going 22-for-61 (.361) with five doubles, a homer, nine RBIs and seven runs scored. Guerrero has hit in 17 of his last 18 games, going 27-for-76 (.355). Matt Wieters is 19-for-37 (.514) with five doubles, three homers and 25 RBIs with runners in scoring position. With two outs and RISP, he's 10-for-21 (.476) with three doubles, a homer and 14 RBIs. Wieters hit a career-high four home runs in April, but has not hit one since April 29 at Chicago, a span of 84 at-bats.
