Orioles lineup vs. Yankees

Nolan Reimold remains in left field tonight as Orioles manager Buck Showalter tries to find a combination that works against Yankees right-hander Michael Pineda.

Jimmy Paredes is batting second as the designated hitter. Chris Davis is starting at first base despite being 1-for-11 with eight strikeouts against Pineda. Travis Snider is in right field despite being 0-for-9 with five strikeouts.

Shortstop J.J. Hardy, who’s 6-for-11 with three home runs against Pineda, moves up to fifth.

Last night, Manny Machado became the sixth Orioles third baseman since 1954 to post three straight seasons with 10 or more home runs. Machado is the first since Melvin Mora in 2004-2008.
