Orioles lineup vs. Red Sox

First baseman Chris Davis is in today’s lineup against Red Sox left-hander Brian Johnson.

The Orioles also will have Keon Broxton in center field, Anthony Santander in left and Pedro Severino behind the plate.

A lineup heavy in right-handed hitters also includes Rule 5 shortstop Richie Martin and third baseman Hanser Alberto.

Means-Bears-Down-White-Sidebar.jpgRookie left-hander John Means has faced the Red Sox twice this season and allowed two runs over 12 innings. J.D. Martinez is 2-for-5 with a double and home run against him.

Johnson is making his first start this season after four relief appearances. He’s allowed eight runs and 10 hits with three home runs in 5 2/3 innings.

His first three appearances came against the Mariners in March. He hasn’t pitched in the majors since April 5.

Johnson has faced the Orioles three times in relief in his career and tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings. No one on the current roster owns a hit against him.
