Orioles and Twins lineups

Rookie Dean Kremer will try to play the role of stopper tonight in Minnesota, with the Orioles losing seven games in a row and 14 of their last 16.

Kremer is 0-4 with a 6.35 ERA and 1.588 WHIP in eight starts over 34 innings. He’s never faced the Twins.

His last start resulted in four runs and five hits allowed in three innings against the Rays. He also walked four batters.

Austin Hays remains out of the lineup with a sore left hamstring. Ryan Mountcastle is in left field, Cedric Mullins in center and Anthony Santander in right.

DJ Stewart, who belted a go-ahead, two-run homer last night in the eighth inning, is the designated hitter.

The Orioles have never beaten Berríos. He’s 5-0 with a 3.52 ERA and 1.148 WHIP in six career starts, including a complete-game victory on April 1, 2018 in Baltimore, when he shut them out on three hits.

Trey Mancini is 4-for-12 with three doubles against Berríos.

Reliever Dillon Tate (hamstring) is beginning his injury rehab assignment tonight with Triple-A Norfolk.

The Orioles reinstated Mike Baumann from Norfolk’s injured list and assigned him to Double-A Bowie. He’s starting tonight. Kyle Bradish has reported to the Tides and also starts tonight.
