The Orioles' list of arbitration-eligible players is down to seven.
Mark Trumbo has agreed to terms on a $9.15 million contract for the 2016 season, according to an industry source.
The Orioles acquired Trumbo and left-hander C.J. Riesenhauser from the Mariners on Dec. 2 for catcher Steve Clevenger. Trumbo, who turns 30 on Saturday, made $6.9 million this year while batting a combined .262/.310/.449 with 23 doubles, 22 home runs and 64 RBIs in 142 games with the Diamondbacks and Mariners.

Wei-Yin Chen's former teammates and coaches made sure to text or call him following the news on Tuesday that he agreed to a five-year contract with the Marlins, officially ending his tenure as an Oriole.
Chen spent four years in Baltimore. He could make it through six in Miami, including a vesting option that brings the total value of the contract to $96 million.
Of course, the Marlins have been known to trade players shortly after handing out extravagant contracts. They gave Chen an opt-out...
SARASOTA, Fla. - Dylan Bundy threw 15 fastballs off the half mound today at the Ed Smith Stadium complex. A few feet away, Hunter Harvey threw a full bullpen session off the regular mound.
The Orioles' top two prospects simultaneously in action, raising hopes as the minicamp drew to a close.
"It's great to know that they're on schedule, they're part of the group. They're, for lack of another term, normalized. It is nice," said pitching coach Dave Wallace.
"You're happy for them....
SARASOTA, Fla. - Outfielder Henry Urrutia is at minicamp this week without needing to swing a bat. It's more about getting stronger, gaining more weight and waiting for his next chance.
Urrutia spent part of his winter playing in Venezuela, where he became ill and lost about 16 pounds. He also visited his family in Cuba for the first time since defecting.
Otherwise, nothing much to see here.
"I just started this week, Monday," he said this morning while standing at his locker at the Ed Smith...
SARASOTA, Fla. - As the free agent market was set to open, I listed left-hander Wei-Yin Chen as the least likely of the six Orioles to re-sign with the team.
Chen yesterday became the first to leave, though Gerardo Parra followed so closely, he almost stepped on his former teammate's heels.
This isn't so much an I-told-you-so as a reminder that the Orioles don't normally spend lavishly on starting pitchers. It was quite a reach giving Ubaldo Jimenez four years and $50 million. Chen was...
SARASOTA, Fla. - If you can't make it down to spring training this year, MASN will air seven exhibition games for your viewing pleasure.
If you can make it down to spring training, the network still intends to broadcast the games. It's not all about you.
Seriously, though, the Orioles' first Grapefruit League game on MASN is March 8 against the Red Sox at 1 p.m. at Ed Smith Stadium. The other six games also are being played in Sarasota, so there's no reason to wear your gray road pants.
All...
SARASOTA, Fla. - The Orioles contacted pitcher Gavin Floyd about a tryout at minicamp this week, but he turned down the offer.
Floyd, a Severna Park native and graduate of Mount St. Joseph High School, is playing long toss after undergoing surgery on his right elbow for a second consecutive year. He hasn't thrown off a mound.
The Orioles could try again later this winter.
Hunter Harvey is the only Orioles pitcher scheduled to throw a bullpen session Wednesday before the conclusion of minicamp...
SARASOTA, Fla. - The Marlins reportedly have reached an agreement with left-hander Wei-Yin Chen on a five-year contract, making him the Orioles' first free agent to leave the organization.
Outfielder Gerardo Parra quickly became the second, reportedly agreeing to a three-year, $27.5 million contract with the Rockies.
FOXSports.com first reported that Chen's deal included a vesting player option for a sixth year. Multiple reports have Chen receiving approximately $80 million over five years,...
SARASOTA, Fla. - The Orioles have signed Alex Liddi to a minor league deal. A team official confirmed it earlier this morning.
Liddi, 27, appeared in 49 games with Triple-A Norfolk in 2013. He spent the 2015 season at Double-A Northwest Arkansas in the Royals system, batting .287/.324/.474 with 39 doubles, six triples, 13 home runs and 56 RBIs in 128 games.
Liddi, a native of Italy, batted .208/.266/.370 in 61 games with the Mariners over parts of three seasons, the last in 2013.
Ashur...
SARASOTA, Fla. - Welcome to Day 2 of Orioles minicamp at the Ed Smith Stadium complex, where you'd find frost on the pumpkins if they were part of the décor.
The temperature is supposed to soar into the low 60s today as a group of pitchers throw bullpen sessions in front of manager Buck Showalter and his staff.
I'll provide injury updates later on pitcher Jeff Beliveau and catchers Jonah Heim and Chris O'Brien. Spoiler alert: They're all good.
O'Brien's father, Charlie, played 15...
SARASOTA, Fla. - Did we learn anything of importance yesterday on the first day of minicamp?
Well, Hunter Harvey and Dylan Bundy insist that they're 100 percent physically. Harvey said he's thrown three bullpen sessions, which might make a few people nervous in the organization. They don't want him pushing it and risking a more serious injury to his elbow.
Bundy continues to long-toss from 150 feet. A mound session isn't far off, but the Orioles like how he's learned to take his foot off...
SARASOTA, Fla. - Orioles manager Buck Showalter spoke briefly today with the players attending minicamp before turning it over to pitching coach Dave Wallace and bullpen coach Dom Chiti.
"I talked to them for about five minutes before Wally and Dom did their thing, congratulated them on being invited and appreciate them coming," Showalter said this afternoon while sitting in his office at the Ed Smith Stadium complex.
"They didn't have to come. This is completely voluntary, but the...
SARASOTA, Fla. - Manager Buck Showalter said the Orioles are discussing whether to invite pitcher Gavin Floyd to minicamp and give him a tryout.
Injuries have limited Floyd, a Severna Park native, to five starts with the White Sox in 2013, nine starts with the Braves in 2014 and seven relief appearances with the Indians last season. He's currently a free agent.
Floyd, who turns 33 later this month, was teammates with Mark Teixeira at Mount St. Joseph High School.
Floyd's appearances with the...
SARASOTA, Fla. - Not only did right-hander Parker Bridwell refuse to stress over the possibility of being added to the Orioles' 40-man roster, he had no idea when teams were required to protect players from the Rule 5 draft. The deadline could have been hours or months away for all he knew.
The Orioles shocked Bridwell on Nov. 20 by including him on the roster, along with pitchers Andrew Triggs and Chris Lee.
"I was very surprised," said Bridwell, 24, who's in Sarasota to attend minicamp....
SARASOTA, Fla. - The Orioles are holding their first minicamp meeting after opening the clubhouse to the media at 9 a.m. Players will take the field later this morning.
Chris Tillman, and Zach Britton are here, sporting full beards. Miguel Gonzalez is at the Ed Smith Stadium complex and also bearded. Henry Urrutia also reported despite not being included on the roster.
The health updates are positive on young pitchers Hunter Harvey and Dylan Bundy.
Harvey said he's been throwing for the last 1...
SARASOTA, Fla. - The Orioles begin their latest minicamp this morning, the third year in a row that it's being held at the Ed Smith Stadium complex. How time flies.
In January 2015, Mark Hendrickson talked about his latest comeback attempt while attending his second minicamp in three years.
"I'm a grandfather, for goodness sake, and that was two months ago," Hendrickson said. "Now there's extra motivation. How many active grandfathers have been in the big leagues? Well, that right there...
I can't make it through another day if I have to read or hear the latest non-update update on Chris Davis. Same holds if I write it.
I've reached my quota.
The Orioles offered $150 million over seven years if you factor in deferred money. Agent Scott Boras is seeking a better deal. No team has stepped up with a more lucrative proposal, as far as we know. The Orioles aren't going to bid against themselves, and they believe $150 million is quite generous.
Please stop me if you've heard it....
If Justin Upton is willing to accept a one-year deal and re-enter the free agent market next winter, it's certainly news to his representative.
Agent Larry Reynolds told MLB Network's Jon Heyman that he continues to seek a multi-year deal for Upton, one of the few high-profile outfielders who remains unemployed.
"We are not considering shorter-term deals at this time," Reynolds said. "The goal has been and will continue to be a long-term contract for Justin Upton."
It makes sense, of...
The Orioles claimed infielder/outfielder Joey Terdoslavich off waivers today from the Braves, occupying the final open spot on their 40-man roster.
Terdoslavich, a switch-hitter who attended Sarasota High School near the Ed Smith Stadium complex, is a career .280/.345/.451 hitter in 604 career minor league games. He's batted .221/.296/.324 in 92 games with the Braves over the past three seasons.
Terdoslavich, 27, batted .281/.391/.452 (41-for-146) with 11 doubles, one triple, four home runs...
Another outfielder came off the board yesterday when Denard Span agreed to terms on a three-year, $31 million contract with the Giants that also includes a possible $5 million in incentives.
The Orioles liked Span as a right fielder and leadoff hitter, but they weren't offering more than one season. The deal would have been loaded with incentives.
I figured that Span would get two years from another team. I never imagined a third guaranteed year.
The Orioles never gave it a thought due to...
