The Washington Nationals announced the following roster moves on Tuesday.
· Selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Carl Edwards Jr.
· Optioned right-handed pitcher Andres Machado to Triple-A Rochester
· Transferred right-handed pitcher Mason Thompson to the 60-day Injured List
Edwards Jr., 30, joins the Nationals after going 1–0 with three saves and 0.63 ERA (1 ER/14.1 1 IP) in 13 games for Triple-A Rochester. He struck out 17 batters, walked four and held opposing batters to an .068 average (3-for-44). Edwards Jr. allowed his only earned run on April 8 at Toledo (CLE) and went on to toss 11.2 innings of scoreless relief — with just one hit allowed — in his next 11 appearances. He did not allow a base runner in four appearances prior to having his contract selected.

• Returned from rehab assignment and reinstated infielder/outfielder Dee Strange-Gordon
• Optioned infielder Lucius Fox to Triple-A Rochester
• Transferred right-handed pitcher Aníbal Sánchez to the 60-Day Injured List
Strange-Gordon, 34, appeared in four games for the Nationals before landing on the Injured List. He recorded three hits, one double, two RBI and two walks in five games for Triple-A Rochester prior to being reinstated.
Fox, 24, appeared in 10 games for the Nationals after making his Major League debut on April 10.
The dog days of summer take on a different meaning this year, as the Washington Nationals’ five-game Pups in the Park series returns on Tuesday, May 10. Four-legged fans and their humans are invited to the ballpark for a doggone good time when the Nationals take on the New York Mets at 7:05 p.m., with four more of these pup-ular games scheduled throughout the season.
Good boys and good girls will be surrounded by dog owners and lovers in the pet-friendly Outfield Reserved section where they can sit, stay and enjoy the tail-ents of some of MLB’s finest. All proceeds from dog ticket sales will be donated to the Humane Rescue Alliance.

Fans invited to attend Extended Spring Training home games at no cost
With the Major League Baseball season now underway, the Orioles’ year-round baseball operations continue in Sarasota, Fla., with Extended Spring Training. Fans are invited to watch Orioles Minor League players in action at the Ed Smith Stadium complex in April, May, and June. Baltimore’s farm system is currently rated as the top player development system in baseball, according to ESPN and MLB Pipeline.
Gates open 30 minutes before game time, and there is no charge to attend the games. Free parking is available in the East Lot. Stadium entry is located at the Left Field Gate, and seating is restricted to sections 116-125 and 216-225. Concession stands will be closed. Game times and locations are subject to change without notice due to weather and field conditions.

Parking lots will open to fans at 1 p.m. and ballpark gates will open at 2 p.m. All tickets for tomorrow’s game will remain valid. Ticket holders will receive direct communication with additional information.

The game will now be played on Tuesday, April 19 at 1:05 p.m. as part of a split doubleheader. Tuesday's originally scheduled game will still begin at 7:05 p.m.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Oriole Park at Camden Yards and as a thank you to our fans, the Orioles will offer 1992 throwback pricing for the team’s first two home series against the Milwaukee Brewers (April 12-13) and the New York Yankees (April 15-17), with the exclusion of the Orioles home opener on April 11.
For all eligible games, while supplies last, tickets are available at $4 for bleachers, $8 for reserve seats, and $12, $13, and $18 for box seats. Savings at each seating location range from approximately 50 percent to 85 percent. The special pricing is reflective of the same ticket prices that existed when the ballpark opened on April 6, 1992.
Additionally, the Orioles will offer hot dogs at 1992 pricing ($1.75) at all Camden Franks concession locations for the first two home series, with the exclusion of the home opener. Transactions are limited to two hot dogs per person.
