The Washington Nationals selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Jacob Turner from Triple-A Syracuse and placed right-handed pitcher Stephen Strasburg on the paternity list. Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcement. Turner, 25, joins the Nationals after pitching to a 2.61 ERA in three starts with Triple-A Syracuse this season.
