The ESPN Zone in Baltimore's Inner Harbor has announced its summer schedule of Orioles activities, which include monthly player Q&As, a second annual Orioles Cook-off, another Battle of the Birds, and Brian's Baseball Bash. Each of the seven player Q&As will feature a current Oriole, and each round will be hosted by an O's broadcaster. Expect to learn a little more about some of your favorite Orioles, the chance to win Orioles tickets (by knowing your O's trivia!), and an autograph...

As we watched the Orioles bullpen implode again tonight, wasting Brian Matusz's outstanding start at Fenway Park, the question now becomes what can be done to help this bullpen? Maybe the only current alternative is to switch around some roles among the pen pitchers. Dave Trembley has switched the lineup, maybe now he has to do it here. Maybe Alberto Castillo and Mark Hendrickson, maybe even Will Ohman, pitch in more late-inning roles. The fans want Jason Berken in some key spots late. ...

What is left to say? The Orioles bullpen is the worst in baseball. Matt Albers just gave up a three-run homer to Marco Scutaro as Boston takes a 4-3 lead in the seventh. I think it's time we start a Rhyne Hughes fan club. In his first at bat ever in the Major Leagues tonight, Hughes ripped a groundball RBI single to right to give the O's a 2-0 lead. Julio Lugo was not the first Major Leaguer to jog to first base on a routine ground ball and he won't be the last. If you go to as many games at Camden Yards as I do, you see it every night on pretty much every team. That sure doesn't make it right. My take on it is this.
